Win's Creek is a family owned and operated apiary in Murrumbateman NSW, between Canberra and Yass. We collect honey within a two hour radius from home to reduce our carbon foot print. We recently relocated Win's Creek Meadery to the beautiful Travellers Rest Inn (circa 1879) in Murrumbateman Village, NSW, a 30 minutes drive from Canberra. To compliment our mead we have a whole food cafe, gourmet coffee & homemade cakes, of course all featuring honey. In Spring we offer Art and Science of Beekeeping courses and in Autumn, Raw Energy courses. Tasting sessions of our Meads and Honeys can be experienced too. Our honey is handcrafted and unprocessed (cold extracted and unpastuerised) to retain its natural raw goodness & flavour. Win's Creek bees are small farmed & given the care & attention they deserve. Some of the varieties of honey we collect are yellow box, spotted gum, red, white and yellow stringybark, blackbutt, ironbark, Canberra garden, chestnut & wild honeycomb. We also make a range of creamed & raw spiced honeys. Several varieties of Mead are produced with fruit grown from our orchard & honey from our apiary - boysenberry, mulberry, blood plum, cherry, apple & our traditional honey mead, called Keely Magic. These are available from the Meadery. Last year our creamed honey won The David Banks Memorial award & overall Champion Exhibitor at the Royal Canberra Show. At the Sydney Royal National Honey Show we were again awarded first place for our Mead (see our Facebook for details). We have won silver medals for our ironbark & yellow box honey as well as many ribbons for our beeswax candles at the National Honey Show. Bindaree Bee Supplies is our other business which provides everything required for the new or experienced beekeeper. We specialise in starter kits, natural beekeeping, bee colonies & educational & recreational courses. The shop is now located at the Meadery. Every Saturday morning you can find us at the Capital Regions Farmers Market which is run by Rotary Club volunteers. Tastings of our honey mead, conserves, wild honeycomb & honey are available from site 160. Drop by for a coffee & scones or a Beekeepers Platter if ever passing through Murrumbateman, we'd love to see you at our new Meadery.
