  • Please make sure you are in the Australia Post Express Post network as we like orders to arrive the next day. They leave Tasmania on the midnight plane and can reach you next day if you are in the network.
We do not take responsibility for orders outside the Express Post network as it is impossible to reach you overnight.
Get in early. 2018- the new season starts: We are now picking blackcurrants and they will be dispatched soon. Get in early as we run out quickly.
Our blackcurrants are freshly picked, de-stemmed and then chilled and vacuum packed. Our orders early in the week by Express Post.
They will keep for several days in refrigerated conditions and what you don't use can be frozen for later use. They do not become mushy when defrosted.

Blackcurrants have a unique flavour and at Eureka Farm have become our secret ingredient in our summer puddings, mixed berry jams and icecream. Blackcurrants are not freely available in most parts of Australia as they only grow in cool climates.

Why not try our summer pudding recipe:

    300g blackcurrants
    250g strawberries, washed, hulled, halved
    200g raspberries
    250g blackberries
    1 cup (160g) sugar
1 loaf of sliced bread cut into rings to fit container, make sure that there are no crusts in the rings cut out.
    Mixed berries, to decorate
    Thick cream, to serve

    Step 1
Combine the blackcurrant, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and sugar in a large saucepan over low heat. Cook, gently stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves and berries begin to release their juices. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Strain through a fine sieve to separate the fruit from the berry juices.
    Step 2
Use a suitable round pastry cutter to cut discs from the bread loaf. Size of rings depends on the container used but we use shallow containers about 3 to 4 cms high and no bread on the sides. Dip a disc in a bowl of the berry juice and place the disc, brushed-side down, in the base of your mould..d. Repeat with remaining slices and moulds.
    Step 3
Spoon the strained berry mixture evenly among the prepared moulds. Top each mould with another berry moisted bread disc to enclose berry filling. Cover each mould with plastic wrap or put lid on.. Place moulds on a tray and top each mould with a small can to weigh down. Place in the fridge overnight to develop the flavours.
    Step 4
Use a round-bladed knife to gently help turn out each pudding onto serving plates. Pour remaining berry juice over each pudding. Top with extra berries and serve with double cream.

Delivery and Order Information

When do you deliver:
Orders go out Monday. The berries are packed in vacuum bags which are chilled before dispatch. We prefer to dispatch to Metropolitan areas of the major cities where Express Postage Post Offices exist. This year they will be dispatched in Air Express Satchels. We take every precaution to get them to you in good condition but cannot guarantee how well you receive them. We suggest you pick them up as soon as possible after they have been dispatched and tracking numbers will be supplied.
Returns and General Order considerations:
Please check your tracking details as this food is fresh and will not keep indefinitely. This is our third year dispatching fresh blackcurrants. This year we are not washing the berries but they will be carefully hand picked. We believe based on tests here that they should keep well in transit. We can advise you how to wash them when you get them. And whilst we do our best it is important that you pick up this parcel as soon as it arrives. If you are unable to do this then it is likely that the goods will deteriorate.
All parcels will be sent Express Post.
