Kingfisher - Family Garlic and Lemon Tonic

Thank goodness for Aussie Garlic. They don’t call Australia the lucky country for nothing! We Australians boast the reputation of a clean green nation and amidst these challenging times, one thing that remains a certain is Australia’s love affair with home grown garlic!

In the remote countryside of Narrung in North-West Victoria, alongside the banks of the Murray River is where you’ll find the Kingfisher patch of garlic paradise. A healthy three-quarter hectare of Australian White Garlic, plump in size and intensely aromatic.

The Fisher family are kindly sharing their family recipe, a tonic for good health:

Garlic & Lemon Tonic


30 cloves of garlic

5 lemons (including peel)

1 litre water



  1. Chop or mince garlic and lemons.
  2. Add garlic and lemon mixture to 1 litre of water in a saucepan and just bring to the boil.

Note: ‘just bring to the boil’

  1. Remove from heat and strain when cool enough.
  2. Discard pulp.
  3. Keep strained liquid in the refrigerator.

It is generally accepted that garlic is a natural antibiotic and lemon is a natural cleanser.

Take 30ml per day for a greater sense of wellbeing.
